Guéridon Bas coffee table, designed by Jean Prouvé and made in his workshop in France in the early 1942-1944, also known in the trade as the "Africa" table. Three solid wood legs, slotted and notched, are held by a triangular steel frame hidden beneath the round top. The legs are wider where they meet the top, rounded there, and narrow toward the floor.
