Lounger by Battista and Gino Giudici, locksmiths from Locarno in Switzerland, circa 1935. Designed for the Lido bathing establishment in Locarno and made in their own workshop, Fratelli Giudici. The frame is one continuous bent tube, forming a large loop at the front and an angled support at the back. Seat and backrest are a single piece of fabric, stretched across the frame in one continuous curve. Two flat armrests bridge the loop partway up. This is the early form, before a later version replaced the armrests with cord.
