Easy chair, designed by Pierre Jeanneret, circa 1955, for residential buildings in Chandigarh. The vertical beams widen where they take the load of a horizontal element, following the logic and appearance of engineering construction. Rivet-shaped screws join them, making the chair dismountable. The thin caning makes the complete structure clearly understandable. Simplicity is the goal.
