Secretariat desk, also known as the "Steno's Desk," designed by Pierre Jeanneret, circa 1960, for offices in Chandigarh. X-shaped beams, widening at the crossing point, support the top. A crossbeam holds the floating, cubic drawer, its hole serving as a handle.
