Bookcase for periodicals, designed by Pierre Jeanneret, ca. 1961. A grid of 20 square compartments, 5 by 4, sits within a solid wood frame, each closed with a thick aluminium panel, folded at the base into an angled handle. Selected panels can stay open, tracing a diagonal across the grid that gives the flat surface a sense of depth.
