Daybed, designed by Pierre Jeanneret circa 1957-1958, for the Chandigarh administrative buildings. A thin, horizontal frame reads as a single line, set on splayed compass legs. The outer edge of each leg is rounded, the inner edge flat. The legs sit inward from the corners, letting the frame overhang slightly at both ends. A related variant, PJ-L-12-A, shares the same construction.
