"Triangular coffee table," designed by Pierre Jeanneret, circa 1953-1954. The solid wood top is triangular, resting on a structure of bamboo rods. Three legs and prominently connected beams beneath the top give it a vernacular character. The piece belongs to an early phase, when Jeanneret was still experimenting, combining metal, bamboo, cotton straps, and wood in near-improvised ways.
