Office chair by Pierre Jeanneret, designed in 1956, is an iconic piece of design. It is raw in its simplicity, with A-shaped legs typical of many Chandigarh items. The floating backrest is a detail that brings the shape into surprising balance, while an intriguing contrast emerges between the solid wood pieces and the thin caning. Its patinated teak gives the chair a strong character, showing the traces of age and its uniqueness. It is, finally, a historic piece from a UNESCO World Heritage site, designed by one of the most important architects of the 20th century. This Pierre Jeanneret chair has been restored, the cane redone, and a cushion added to protect the caning. It's suitable for daily use, and we also offer larger chair sets.
