The Office Cane Chair, designed by Pierre Jeanneret in 1955, is the better known variation of the rarer PJ-SI-28-A. Notably, its expressive A-shaped legs are a signature element of Chandigarh items. Furthermore, it has a raw simplicity, embodying and expressing a nonchalance like no other chair from the Chandigarh project. In fact, each chair looks a bit different and has a slightly different character. As a result, that makes every chair a unique piece. For instance, some are thinner, lower, wider, darker, with wider or denser caning, with more or fewer traces of use. In short, it is an iconic chair.

Office Cane chair has been designed by Pierre Jeanneret.In the 1950es they created a vision of new living, where Western modernity and Indian tradition came together. Pierre Jeanneret continued to live in India and got professor on the architecture faculty there. There he lived for 15 years, worked on the city and developed a big collection of great design.
