Office Cane Chair, designed by Pierre Jeanneret in 1955, is the better known variation of the rarer PJ-SI-28-A. This chair is not only defined by its simplicity; it is also one of the most recognisable pieces of Chandigarh furniture. Its character is raw, with a certain nonchalance: the wooden elements appear heavy, but softened edges create a more nuanced impression. The woven cane introduces a transparent counterpoint to the massive wooden structure. The slightly rounded, A-shaped legs are a recurring motif within the Chandigarh design vocabulary.

Office Cane chair has been designed by Pierre Jeanneret.In the 1950es they created a vision of new living, where Western modernity and Indian tradition came together.
