Early and experimental prototype of an armless chair, designed by Pierre Jeanneret, circa 1953. The wood seat and backrest are carved into a body-shaped form. A single bent steel rod forms the legs and connects backrest and seat. The rod passes through a hole in the seat, forming joints without screws or other hardware.
