Early prototype armchair with hanging seat, designed by Pierre Jeanneret, circa 1953. The seat hangs on chains from the arm pieces, so it rocks slightly when used. The backrest is made from simple cords. The chair stands on two beams instead of individual legs. The legs and arm pieces are connected with rivet-like screws. Within the Chandigarh collection, no other chair combines as many experimental elements as this one.
