CP-BAHUT-3
Cansado Bahut storage unit with three sliding doors, designed by Charlotte Perriand for Cité Cansado, Mauritania, produced by Galerie Steph Simon, ca. 1958. Like the four- (link) and five-door versions (link), the structure is in painted sheet metal, with horizontal slits for the shelf holders, which are designed by Jean Prouvé. The wood top and metal structure are joined with screws typical of the Atelier Jean Prouvé too. The three melamine doors sits in one row, dark-light-dark, a symmetric arrangement instead of the four-door unit's irregular rhythm. Each panel has two holes, used as handles. The case rests on two black leg bars.Dimensions:
