Low stool, known as "Tabouret Berger," designed by Charlotte Perriand. An earlier version was developed in Méribel, for the bar of Hotel Doron, 1947, inspired by the milking stools used by alpine shepherds. This Berger version was designed in Tokyo, 1953, for the house of Jacques Martin. The round seat has an angled, rounded border and a slight dip at the centre. The legs and seat are solid, turned wood throughout. A high version exists, BERGER-HIGH.
