Three-legged stool designed by Charlotte Perriand in 1960. It is inspired by the milking stools used by shepherds in the French Alps. The hand-turned legs, slightly conical and sturdy, splay outward from a round seat. The seat's edge is gently chamfered, softening its otherwise simple disc shape. The wood was chosen to suit this plain character, echoing the shepherd's stools that inspired it.
